each contributing unique expertise to support our dancers in reaching their goals and aspirations.
Company Director
Owen Lane
Owen Lane trained locally at RLSB before attending the Birmingham Royal Ballet School. He later performed with the Birmingham Royal Ballet and several European-based companies, taking his career around the world performing for audiences in North & South America, Europe & Asia.
He founded Milton Keynes Dance Theatre in 2019 to nurture young talent in the area. Leading the company in its formative years has earned him a strong reputation as a teacher and choreographer with a diverse body of creative work supporting the progress of the students.
Head of Creative Development & Choreographer
Jess Yeo
Jess is a co-founder of MKDT and an apprentice dancer with Phoenix Dance Theatre. She is excited to be choreographing *Lady Macbeth*. During her time at London Contemporary Dance School, Jess performed at La Villette in Paris and in Taipei as part of Artscross 2024 before graduating with a first-class BA (Hons) and the Cohan Scholarship for outstanding potential as a performer

She has taught at The Place CAT, Rambert, and MKDT, prioritizing psychological safety and youth voices in all her work
Assistant Choreographer
Brooke Sorensen
Brooke began dancing at a young age, inspired by her older sisters. At London Contemporary Dance School, she deepened her choreographic practice, connecting to feminist theories. Here she performed in London and Paris, then graduated with a First-Class Honours in 2024
Brooke is now a Choreodrome Artist The Place London, developing a piece for Resolution Festival 2025, pursuing an MA with VERVE and is excited to be working with MKDT on Lady Macbeth
Contemporary Teacher
Robyn Gamston
Robyn is an experienced dance professional with a strong background in dance education and performance. She holds a BA Hons from London Contemporary Dance School and an MA from the University of Salford.

Robyn has worked with various dance companies and taught a wide range of students from children to adults, across multiple venues. She is also a certified yoga teacher, blending movement and mindfulness into her teaching.
Contemporary Teacher
Kelly Horne
Kelly is an experienced dance teacher and workshop facilitator with a background in dance performance and movement direction. She has taught at various schools and dance companies facilitating workshops for both children and adults.

Kelly holds an MA in Theatre Arts from Middlesex University as well as qualifications in yoga, safeguarding and mental health first-aid.

Theodora Marasescu
Theodora is a passionate and energetic dancer who graduated from the London Contemporary Dance School. She id currently an apprentice dancer with Motion House Dance Collective.

She has extensive performance experience and brings a wonderful, versatile knowledge base to our dancers.

Ellie Peacock
Ellie is a contemporary dance artist with a First-Class BA from London Contemporary Dance School. SHe has worked as a dancer, choreographer and teacher contributing to productions such as "Lucia di Lammermoor" & " Counterpoint".

She is also involved in community dance education, including workshops and programs for a diverse range of student groups in London.

Lizzie Zrada
Lizzie is a dedicated dance teacher and choreographer with a BA Hons in dance from Creative Academy. She has experience teaching hip hop to adults and children with Avant Garde Dance Company as well as commercial and jazz at local dance schools.

She is passionate about using dance to promote well-being and engagement.
